The Scoop on Beauty Bakerie Cosmetics | Review

Bare Beauty sent over the sweetest package and it was full of delicious makeup goodies from Beauty Bakerie Cosmetics.

For those of you who are not familiar with Bare Beauty, They are an online beauty supplier who launched in 2016 and offer the hottest and latest international makeup making it easier for us South African beauty lovers to get our hands onto.

I love the packaging and names of the Beauty Bakerie products, It is clever and cute and leaves you wanting for an ice cream to cool off your hot makeup look.

I created the below makeup look using  a few of their products and the following shades from their Eyescream Palette

Strawberry, Sundae Funday, Almond Slices, Drive Thru, I scream and U Scream

Neapolitan Eyescream Palette – I love the neutral shades in this palette, There is not a bright color pay off from the first swatch but these shadows can be built up. It is easy to blend with not too much fall out and can be used to create a few different makeup looks.

It has five matte shades and seven shimmer shades, with Strawberry being the perfect transition shade for your crease

BROWnies to Go – This is a brow pomade and is a creamy texture that is easy to blend. This product dries completely so you will need to blend your brows as you do them.

I used the shade Auburn and I was hesitant at first as it had a very red color pay off when I applied it, However it did darken once it dried

Sprinkles – Loose glitter to amp up your makeup look, This should used in conjunction with the Sprinkles Glue in order for it to stay in place. To achieve precise results as i did to create the winged liner, use a thin liner brush. It is easy to apply and lasts all day long

Tip: when working with glitter around your eye area ensure that you work slowly and do not allow glitter to get into your eyes as this could be harmful. To remove the glitter use an oil based eye makeup remover and wipe upwards away from your eye

So Icy Illuminator – Packed into an ice cream tub looking container this baby will leave anyone with a chill when they peep your glow. It has a great color payoff and a little goes a long way, To get the best results use a smaller fluffy brush and lightly spritz fix+ onto it.

This product is a loose powder and will fly all over the place, Fix+ spray (or water) helps to settle it to avoid fall out and makes it easy to apply.

I used the shade ‘Frozen’ on the highest points of my cheeks

Lip Whips – With promises to be smudge proof and long lasting it definitely keeps to its word.

These Lip Whips last all day and are easy to apply, If you have an extra buck to spare I would suggest that you order the Lip whip remover as it is difficult to rub off with just a wet wipe.

For those on a budget you can use coconut oil to remove these lippies.

Cinnamon Roll – This metallic finish lipstick is easy to apply but is better suited with a lip liner as the edges do not look perfectly finished off on its own.

It does last long, However it cracks slightly throughout the day and will require a touch up or two (do not apply too many layers as this may also cause it too crack faster)

Cranberry Stiletto – VA VA Voom Red, This is my favorite shade out of the three! It lasts all day and did not dry my lips out or crack when I move my lips.

It has even coverage and creates a full looking lip. To get a defined lip line clean it up using concealer and a thin brush.

Tip: do not press your lips together until completely dry

I like to Chai Chai– The Perfect nude, I love this color but was disappointed that it cracked quite a bit and settled into every crevice of my lips.

This color is better suited when worn with a lip liner that is a shade darker, The lip liner will create a more contoured lip with definition as opposed to your lips completely disappearing into your face
